Innovations and Networking for banks, operators, retailers and government

On May 21st-22nd 2012, PLUS Journal will hold Innovations. Remote Services, Cards and Payments 2012, the 3rd International Forum, which is going to take place in Moscow. The Forum is dedicated to the analysis of the industry’s challenges in Russia, CIS and globally, search of the ways for their solutions, major tendencies and perspectives of the industry’s development.

Market participants' special interest to the Forum is dictated by the role and place of the e-Government project, a leading initiative that will allow Russia to keep the positive vector of development and the rightful place at the global level. Apart from that, it will boost effective implementation of the program of remote personified services, making them serve the needs of the state and its citizens.

Chris Skinner, Chairman of the Financial Services Club.

Chris Skinner is best known as an independent commentator on the financial markets through his blog the Finanser (www.thefinanser.com). Here he regularly discusses key issues and opportunities in banking and financial services, summarising research, white papers and other analysis that is topical for the day. The blog content is now regularly edited into book form, with the first five books published by Searching Finance in a new series called "The Complete Banker" in winter 2010.
When he's not travelling and delivering keynote speeches, Chris chairs the Financial Services Club, which he founded in 2004. The Financial Services Club is a network for financial professionals, and focuses on the future of financial services through the delivery of high quality and in-depth research, analysis, commentary and debate. The Club has regular meetings in London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Vienna, providing a critically independent platform for practitioners, regulators and industry leaders to meet, network and discuss the future of our industry.
Chris is Chief Executive of Balatro Ltd, and a co-founder of the website Shaping Tomorrow. He also appears regularly in various media including the BBC, Bloomberg and Sky News.

Bogatkin Aleksei - CEO Uniteller

Alexei Bogatkin graduated Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 2001. His career Mr. Bogatkin started with Russian and foreign IT-companies in the field of information security, he managed products development, also connected with biometric identification. In 2003, together with his partners, Mr. Bogatkin founded Unitecsys, a software development company with a number of products for banking sphere. Since 2009 Alexei Bogatkin is the Head of Uniteller, a service-provider company. On the basis of its own solution, Uniteller company provides bank card acceptance services in Internet and self-service spheres, and also processing for a wide range payment tools.

Mohammad Jakirul Islam Senior Manager & Head of VAS SSD-Tech, Bangladesh

Presently Mohammad Jakirul Islam is working with ssd-tech, one of the fastest growing software solution provider companies in Bangladesh. He is a "Senior Manager & Head of VAS" to take care of the whole ssd-tech's VAS portfolio within both local and global context. He also has almost 5 years of telecom experiences in VAS & Innovations with CitycellTM, the pioneer & only CDMA Mobile operator in Bangladesh, as a Coordinator- VAS & mCommerce Business Development. He gained extensive experience in various telecommunication Marketing & Business Development segments such as: Value Added Service (VAS), Product & Business Development, Affinity marketing as well as Retention & Loyalty through his tenure with Citycell. Mr. Islam obtained an MBA majoring Finance and a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Dhaka and Independent University, Bangladesh (IU respectively. He is a renowned speaker to explore mCommerce/Mobile Money/Mobile Payments business within emerging developing countries through different international conferences/forums. Some of his present responsibilities are to cover defining the business scopes, product design and acquisition new business with different mobile operators, banks and other Financial Institutions around the world.

Kolobov Stanislaw Alekseyevich, Regional Director for Central Federal District, CFT

Born in January 1973. Since 1991 Stanislaw has started his professional career as a programming supervisor in Medical Engineering Center. From 1997 to 2005 he developed software implementation and support, maintenance of computing machinery; made a search and adaptation of bank products according to Sberbank Standards and provided adoption of advanced manufacturing for retail banking services for Sberbank Yaroslavl and Vologda offices. In 2001 Stanislaw graduated from Business Academy under the Moscow government with a specialization in Finance and credit. Between 2005 and 2007 Stanislaw worked as Director of information technology with Billing Center in Vologda. Since 2006 he had directed simultaneously Yaroslavl office. Joined CFT in 2007 as Regional Director. He manages areas that are included in Central Federal District of Russian Federation under the project "Transport and social card". Under Stanislaw's direction the cashless fare systems have been stated in Astrakhan in 2009 and Yaroslavl Region in 2010.

I.V.Kuznetsov – Vice-President of Tavricheskiy Bank (OAO), Head of NFC project of the Infocommunication Union, Head of the New Payment Instruments section of the NPS working group of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Ph.D. (Physics and Mathematics)

Mr. Kuznetsov graduated from the St.Petersburg State University (formerly Leningrad State University named after A.Zhdanov), Physics Faculty, defended his Ph.D. Thesis. In 1985-1989 he worked at the Scientific Research Institute of Physics, published 8 research papers and made two inventions. In 1990 Mr. Kuznetsov initiated foundation of Alcor Technologies Incorporated, a Soviet-American Research and Development enterprise. In 1993 he was among the founders of the Tavricheckiy Bank (OAO) specializing in corporate clients lending and banking services to foreign companies, as well as e-commerce. Since 1995 Mr. Kuznetsov has been Vice-President of the Tavricheskiy Bank in charge of investments in the atomic industry and IT technologies. He is a developer of PayCash, a unique e-payment system, patented in 1996, that formed the basis of a number of lucrative projects (Yandex. Money, MOBI.Money, Moneta Express and other).

Thierry Barba is the Director of Eco System development within Group Strategy and Development at France Telecom / Orange.

Thierry is responsible for the new business eco system strategy and policy for FT/Orange in close relationship with the strategy, marketing and technical entities within the Orange group. Thierry is personally involved in international organisations such as the GSMA and has been strongly involved in the domain of mobile contactless for the past 5 years where he has contributed towards the definition of standards for the SIM card with the European Telecommunication Standard Institute and continues to work to set-up industry eco systems. Thierry is also involved in other domains such as Mobile Health, Machine to Machine and green/energy efficency programmes. Thierry is also leading the development of a universal charger for mobile devices. Previoulsy, Thierry contributed to the launch of several industrial forums aimed at standardisation of technologies and driving the industry to greater cooperation. Thierry has been a member of the Board of Directors of IMTC for 4 years, a forum at the forefront of the video and Internet communications. In 2004, Thierry joined Orange and the innovation services as Strategic Advisor to the CTO where he launched and managed several projects on customer intelligence and customer insight. His main interests reside in the development of services with enhanced customer experience applied to the telecommunication business.

Leon Dhaene has over 25 years of senior management experience in cards and payments, global account management, business development and sales, acquisitions-mergers-joint ventures, performance optimisation and services development, at multinational corporations like MasterCard International (2001-2004), Europay International (1992-2001), Eurocard International (1989-1992) and IBM (1985-1989). As of 2004, Leon created his own consulting practice, called Network of Alliances, Outsourcing and Mergers Experts, and is Chairman of N2FINANCE, a European network of experts in the finance sector in 10 European countries. Amongst his customers are leading international banks, payment systems, leasing companies, processors, network services providers, customer services companies, regulatory, etc… He has been leading business strategic projects in the global financial & leasing, social services management, environmental and identity control sector; and business development activities in Europe for enterprise software and financial services companies. Leon has conducted major projects in the area of cards and payments, call center technology and management, e-invoicing, fleet and petrol cards, e-commerce, archiving and electronic document management, and SEPA /PSD (SEPA assessments, SCF, SDD, SCT). Leon Dhaene is regularly consulted by capital venture companies as an Consultation Analyst. Leon Dhaene is currently Chairman of the European Card Acquiring Forum, the largest conference on card acquiring in Europe. As a leading global card specialist, Leon has been involved in launching several innovative products globally, amongst which the launch of Maestro, an international debit card with over 800 million cardholders worldwide, in 1993 is the most known. Leon Dhaene is a former lecturer of the IBM Institute La Hulpe, IBM Academy Brussels, and researcher of the University of Ghent.

Igor V. Sukhostavsky CEO of Terminal Technologies Company

An expert in the field of POS-terminal equipment and payment technologies. The initiator and leader of the development of YARUS, the first Russian POS-terminal. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (MIET) in 1982, specializing in computers. Worked and was a lecturer at the MIET Department of Computer Engineering. During 1995-2000 Project Coordinator of the Russian development center of Rockwell Semiconductor. In 2000-2004 the Head of Department of Network Systems in Moscow. In 2004-2009 the General Director of Hypercom Representative Office, who guided the software development and implementation of Optimum T2100, the first 32-bit POS-terminal, which became the best-known and the most wide-spread Hypercom product. He was a co-founder and director of the Transaction systems company. Enhanced the Russian practice with economical no-server cash solutions. Currently, the head of Terminal Technologies (TT), a company founded by him. In 2009, for the first time in Russia, he got PCI and EMV certificates for YARUS, a POS-terminal /cash register developed in collaboration with Shtrikh-M. Proposed and implemented an acquiring approach, completely new for Russia, with the POS-terminals being bought by retail outlets rather than banks.

Eric is the CEO and founder of TransferTo, the leading international airtime remittance hub, acquired by Ingenico in 2010. Before TransferTo, Eric co-founded Mobile 365, the global leader in mobile messaging interoperability, delivery and settlement of SMS and MMS. He was successively the Chief Technology Officer and the Vice President of the Person to Person Business Unit. Mobile 365 was acquired by Sybase (now SAP) in 2006.

Since Parsla joined Tieto in 2003 as Senior Business Analyst, she has been performing managerial positions within the company. Moreover, card business has become Parsla's hobby. Parsla holds MBA from Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration. She has a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

Sergey joined BPC is 2006 and his role includes leading the sales team covering Russia and the CIS. In his time with BPC he has personally closed 20 new client engagements.
